Naarvin posts finance notices to Microsoft Teams channels through a Teams workflow that receives webhook requests. Each notice arrives as a card with a title, one line and an Open in Naarvin button, in Arabic laid out right to left or in English. The cards carry names, references and statuses, never amounts.
What does a notice look like in Teams?
An Adaptive Card with three parts: the event as a bold title, one line naming the company, connection or journal it concerns, and a button that opens the item in Naarvin. A channel set to Arabic gets the card in Arabic, laid out right to left.
Which events can a channel receive?
The same events as any Naarvin notification channel, picked per channel: syncs completed or failed, approvals requested or decided, journals drafted for review, posted to the ERP or refused by it, months signed off or reopened, scheduled reports sent, critical findings, support files attached, and the audit log integrity check. A channel can take all of them or only a few.
A channel receives every company's events of the kinds it picked; it cannot be limited to one company. That is one reason the cards carry no figures: who reads a Teams channel is decided in Teams, not in Naarvin. Figures stay behind the button, where Naarvin checks access. See security.
How does Naarvin reach a Teams channel?
Through a workflow on the channel that posts to the channel when a webhook request is received. The workflow gives you an address, and Naarvin accepts only addresses on Microsoft's workflow and webhook hosts (logic.azure.com, powerplatform.com, powerautomate.com or webhook.office.com) over HTTPS. The address is sealed when saved and never shown again.
Failed deliveries are retried. After 20 failures in a row, for instance when the workflow was turned off, the channel is paused in Naarvin and the settings page shows the last error.
How do you set up a Teams channel?
- Add the workflow in TeamsOn the channel, open Workflows and add the one that posts to a channel when a webhook request is received. Copy the address it gives you.
- Add the channel in NaarvinIn Settings, under webhooks, Slack and Teams, add a Microsoft Teams channel and paste the address. This needs the right to manage integrations and a fresh sign-in check.
- Choose events and languagePick the events, and Arabic or English for the cards.
- Send a test cardSend a test and check the card arrives, in the right language and direction.
Questions people ask
Do the cards show amounts?
No. They carry names, references, counts and statuses. Amounts stay in Naarvin, behind the Open in Naarvin button.
Can Arabic and English channels run side by side?
Yes. Language is set per channel, so a group can have an Arabic channel for one team and an English one for another.
Do we install a Naarvin app in Teams for the notices?
No. The notices use a workflow on the channel and its webhook address. Whether people may add workflows to a channel is set by your Teams administrator.
