Naarvin prepares VAT, withholding tax and zakat workings from your ledger and invoices, shows the entries behind every box, and reminds you before each filing is due. It also checks each company's readiness for ZATCA e-invoicing and the VAT numbers on your customers and suppliers. Your team or your tax adviser reviews and files; Naarvin does not file returns.
Why is tax season so stressful?
Tax work arrives on top of the close. The VAT return is rebuilt from ledger exports each period, withholding tax on payments abroad is tracked in a side sheet, zakat is worked out once a year from a balance sheet that has moved since, and every deadline lives in someone's calendar.
- VAT boxes are filled from exports, and zero-rated and exempt sales get mixed up.
- Customer and supplier VAT numbers are missing or wrong in the ERP.
- Withholding tax is calculated by hand for each foreign payment.
- The zakat base is worked out late, with little time to review it.
- A filing date slips because the person who tracked it was on leave.
How does tax preparation run with Naarvin?
- VAT from the ledgerThe VAT return workings are built from the ledger and invoices, box by box. Where invoice lines carry tax categories, zero-rated and exempt amounts are told apart.
- Every box opensEach figure opens to the invoices and entries behind it, so the reviewer can test it.
- Withholding taxPayments to non-residents are scheduled with the withholding tax workings for review.
- ZakatZakat workings are prepared from the balance sheet, with each adjustment shown for your adviser to review.
- Master data checkedCustomer and supplier VAT and commercial registration numbers are checked, and missing ones are filled from the e-invoices that state them, never overwriting the ERP.
- DeadlinesReminders go out before each filing is due, to the people responsible.

Does Naarvin issue ZATCA e-invoices?
No. Naarvin checks readiness: whether each company's invoices carry what e-invoicing needs, such as the seller and buyer VAT numbers, numbering, line VAT and totals. Issuing and reporting e-invoices stays with your ERP or e-invoicing provider. Naarvin holds no approval from ZATCA.
What do you need to start?
- Your accounting system connected, with VAT on invoices where your ERP records it.
- Each company's VAT and commercial registration details.
- Your filing calendar and who is responsible for each return.
- Your adviser's view on zakat treatments, so the workings follow it.
Who is this for?
Finance teams in Saudi Arabia and the GCC that prepare their own returns for review, groups with several VAT-registered companies, and teams that want every number in a return traceable before it is filed. This page is general information about how Naarvin works, not tax advice.
Questions people ask
Does Naarvin file our VAT or zakat returns?
No. Naarvin prepares the workings for review. Filing stays with you and your advisers.
Is Naarvin approved by ZATCA?
No. Naarvin holds no ZATCA approval. It checks e-invoicing readiness; issuing e-invoices stays with your ERP or provider.
What if our ERP does not record VAT categories on invoice lines?
The workings still come from the ledger, but zero-rated and exempt amounts cannot be told apart from the invoices. The return shows where that split is missing.
Can it fix missing VAT numbers?
It can fill a missing number from an e-invoice that states it, with the evidence kept. It never overwrites a number your ERP already holds.
