Naarvin reads Zoho CRM with the same Zoho sign-in it uses for Zoho Books and Zoho Billing. Won deals become customer contracts, and open deals are read only after someone switches the sales pipeline on. Zoho CRM keeps no subscriptions, so those come from a Zoho Billing connection, and nothing is written back to Zoho.
What does Naarvin read from Zoho CRM?
Naarvin reads the Deals module and the organization's details, nothing else. It asks Zoho for two read permissions: deals, and the organization record that gives its name, country and currency.
| In Zoho CRM | In Naarvin | When it is read |
|---|---|---|
| A won deal (stage Closed Won, or probability 100) | A customer contract signed on the closing date, priced at the deal amount, with one obligation delivered that day | Every sync |
| The deal account | The contract's customer | Every sync |
| Open deals, and deals closed in the last three years | Pipeline deals: pipeline, stage, probability, amount, currency, closing date, owner and created time | Only after the sales pipeline is switched on |
Each deal becomes one obligation for its whole amount: product lines on Zoho deals are not read. If you need contracts split into several obligations, the revenue detail has to come from a source that holds it.
How does Naarvin decide which deals are won or lost?
From Zoho's standard stages. A deal is won at the stage Closed Won or at probability 100. In the pipeline, a deal is lost at any other stage whose name starts with Closed, or at a stage with probability 0 whose name contains lost. Everything else is open.
Where do subscriptions come from?
Zoho CRM keeps no subscriptions. If you bill subscriptions in Zoho, connect Zoho Billing as well. It uses the same Zoho sign-in and reads every subscription with its monthly recurring revenue. Its customers are matched to the company's customers by name, as the CRM contracts are.
What does the sales pipeline add?
The pipeline is off by default. Someone who manages connections switches it on from the connection card, under Sales pipeline, and the change is written to the audit log. The same read of the Deals module then also brings the owner's name, the created time and the pipeline name, and keeps open deals and those closed in the last three years.
In FP&A AI, a plan's revenue model can show open deals weighted by the probability Zoho gives their stage, next to revenue already contracted. Each source is shown on its own, and a plan includes it only when someone chooses to.
How often does it sync?
On the schedule you set: every 15 or 30 minutes, every 1, 2, 4, 6 or 12 hours, daily or weekly at a time in your time zone, or only when someone runs a sync. The first sync reads every deal. Later syncs ask Zoho only for deals modified since the last one. A full sync, which can be run at any time, marks a deal that is no longer won as removed, so its contract stops counting.
What about data centres, companies and currencies?
You type nothing before signing in: Zoho tells Naarvin which data centre holds your account, and Naarvin uses that address from then on. The CRM organization links to one company in Naarvin, the company that sells through it, usually one your ERP connection already loads. Its currency must match that company's. Each deal keeps its own currency, or the organization's when it has none.
What does the connection not do?
- It never writes to Zoho CRM.
- It reads only deals and the organization: no leads, contacts, quotes or products.
- It brings no ledger. Your books come from your ERP, which can be Zoho Books with the same sign-in.
How do you connect Zoho CRM?
- Choose the companyDecide which Naarvin company sells through the CRM organization, usually one already loaded from your ERP.
- Sign in to ZohoSign in and allow Naarvin to read deals and the organization. The tokens are encrypted when saved and never shown again.
- Link the organizationLink the CRM organization to the company. Naarvin checks that the currencies match.
- Set the schedule and run the first syncCheck that every won deal arrived as a contract, especially if your stages have custom names.
- Add Zoho Billing and the pipeline if you need themConnect Zoho Billing for subscriptions, and switch on the sales pipeline from the connection card if you plan with open deals.
Questions people ask
Do we sign in separately for Zoho CRM, Zoho Books and Zoho Billing?
Each is its own connection with its own consent, but all three use the same Zoho sign-in. Zoho asks you to allow only the read permissions that connection needs.
Are deal products read?
No. Each won deal becomes one obligation for its full amount, delivered on the closing date.
Our won stage has a different name. Will it count?
Only if its probability is 100. Otherwise rename it to Closed Won or set its probability to 100 in Zoho, then run a full sync.
