Supplier bank details are entered by one person and verified by another before any payment uses them. Propose and save a payment run under Payables, then Payments. Under Payables, then Payment files, create a file from the saved run, download it and upload it to your bank, where the bank's own approvals apply. Naarvin prepares the file; it never moves money.
How do you add supplier bank details?
- Enter the detailsIn Payables, then Payment files, under Supplier bank details, enter the company, supplier, account name, IBAN, and optionally the bank and its code.
- A colleague verifiesSomeone other than the person who entered them verifies the details, ideally by calling the supplier on a number you already had. Verifying asks for a fresh check.
- Keep them currentReject details that do not check out, and retire an account the supplier no longer uses. Details changed in the last 30 days are flagged.
How do you create a payment file?
- Save a payment runUnder Payables, then Payments, propose the bills to pay and save the run.
- Open Create a payment fileUnder Payables, then Payment files, pick the saved run, the company, the file format and the payment date.
- Choose the currency and accountOne file per currency. Pay from a registered bank account whose IBAN a second person verified, or else the company's own IBAN.
- Leave out unverified suppliersSuppliers with no verified bank account can be left out, so no payment goes to unverified details.
- Download and uploadDownload the file and upload it to your bank. The bank's own approvals then apply.
What happens after the bank pays?
Track each file on the same page. If a payment did not go through, mark it not paid and the bill can go into a new run; cancelling a run releases all its bills. Payments then reach your books through your ERP as usual.
